The Collective Access has gained private access to the Apple store in Fashion Valley on Wednesday February 23, 2017 allowing us to bring a team of students to enjoy a lesson in coding logic.

The Hour of Coding is the first step on a journey to inspire young children to learn more about how technology works and how to create the software applications they use every day. After a brief intorduction, the students of Cesar Chavez Elementary school will divide into two groups for separate activities.

One group will get a chance to try a coding module direct from Hour of Code where they'll use coding to interact with their favorite Disney characters. While the others will get to chance to put coding in action with a Sphero, which is a ball that can only be controlled by coding (think Star Wars' BB-8). We'll switch the groups so that everyone has a chance to try everything. At the end of the workshop, students will receive a certificate of completion and free t-shirt!

Thank you to our lovely transportation sponsors: Aall in Limo & Party Bus.

Please contact gena@thecollectiveaccess.com if you or your children's school is interested in being a part of a future event.
