This August, the future of San Diego will be preparing to dive into a new school year. Kids of all ages will be putting their summers behind them and preparing for a new reservoir of information and experience that will help shape the paths they walk and the futures they choose.

On August 26th, The Collective Access will host A Message To The Youth at downtown's Horton Plaza Park, where all generations of San Diegans can partner in ensuring hope for the future of San Diego.

Three generations will share powerful and inspiring message in a festive outdoor environment with music, kids activities, games and local food vendors. The event will have interactive stations that will expose kids to different professional field and resources in our community. And, as always, The Collective Access encourages all attendees to engage in networking. We all have something to offer and something to give, so get out there, shake some hands, and engage all generations in experiencing the importance of networking and the value of relationships.
This will be a great family friendly event before school starts.

The Mission of Camp Career Kids San Diego is to "Investigate Your Community's Career Opportunities and Re-imagine Your Future!" Most kids are typically only exposed to traditional jobs or jobs their family's have. This has to change! We are stepping up to give kids a chance to explore a greater variety of opportunities. This field trip camp will inspire youth to look beyond the barriers in their lives and re-imagine a future with careers that match.
- To give underprivileged youth the opportunity to see, in person a variety of potential career paths.
- Expose them to the diverse job paths available by giving them a "day in the life" experience.
The Collective Access will be supporting the March for Education by "Being an Education Superhero"! Celebrate San Diego's Teachers, Students, and Innovative Education at this non-partisan sister march to the DC March for Education on the same day. The Networking Workshop will take place on Friday July 21st from 3:00PM - 4:00Pm and a mentor/mentee networking mixer will be from 4:00PM - 5:00PM for the kids to network with professionals in the fields they are interested in.

What is Ice Cream for A Dream?
Ice Cream for a Dream is a national community initiative that uses ice cream as a motivational tool to encourage communities to share their dreams and make them a reality.
The schoolchildren shared their dreams of becoming teachers, doctors and lawyers with dozens of caring adults ranging from school administrators, faculty and their families, in exchange for a cool, sweet treat.
The Collective Access has teamed up with Pro Kids Golf Academy, Inc. to offer a golf clinic combined with Kid Networking. The kids will receive a brief introduction to Kid Networking and few words of encouragement from the CA Advisory Board.
From there, the students can cruise around to 3 stations centered around Kid Networking (Dream Big, Believe in Yourself, & Leadership) to practice their networking skills AND 3 stations for Golf Clinic with expert instructors (putting, full swing, & short game) to improve their game!

We are in need of volunteers! Saturday School begins at 8:30am and volunteers can come and go according to their schedule. We usually wrap up around 1pm. The Hour of Coding is the first step on a journey to inspire young children to learn more about how technology works and how to create the software applications they use every day. We've partnered with partnered with Apple to put together the Hour of Coding event with transportation provided by Aall in Limo & Party Bus. The students of Cesar Chavez Elementary school will take a lesson in Coding using Swift Playgrounds and Sphero!
Casey Kuroda will host the CA member only event Wine & Cheese tasting at his house in North Park. We've hired Gaston Martinez as our special guide who will take us around the world on a tour of wine & cheese pairings. Bring your beautiful selves.

The mission of the Monarch School is to educate students impacted by homelessness and to help them develop hope for a future with the necessary skills and experiences for personal success.
